Awards

Beginning in 2021, FLAME Conference established two awards, which would be given annually. These awards, the Blaze Award and the Inferno Award, exist to recognize individuals in our community who exemplifying FLAMES values of service to our community, creating expansive spaces, and ensuring diverse representation in education.

Blaze Award

Each year the Producers of FLAME Conference may select one individual to receive the Blaze Award. The Blaze Award will be given to an individual that, in the preceding 12 months, has demonstrated a commitment to service in the BDSM, Leather, and Kink Communities.

Qualifications:

​

The individual must:

  • The recipient must be an active member of the public BDSM, Leather, and Kink Community

  • The recipient must be an individual who has been involved in community service such as board, events, or community groups and shall have demonstrated a sustained commitment to their communities

  • The recipient must be a volunteer in some capacity for FLAME Conference, including presenters, moderators, notetaker, and staff members. 

  • The recipient must serve the community in multiple capacities

Inferno Award

Each year the Producers of FLAME Conference may select one recipient to receive the Inferno Award. The Inferno Award will be given to an individual, couple, or group that, in the preceding 12 months, has demonstrated a commitment to providing inclusive, diverse, and accessible education to the BDSM, Leather, and Kink Communities.

Qualifications:

​

The individual must:

  • The recipient must be an active member of the public BDSM, Leather, and Kink Community

  • The recipient must serve the public BDSM, Leather, and Kink Community as an educator, event host, and/or event producer.

  • The recipient shall be perceived by their communities as leaders.

  • The recipient must demonstrate, through their community involvement, a dedication to furthering the community and providing access to education for all

  • The recipient must demonstrate a commitment to creating expansive spaces that are safe and accessible for all
