Giving
FLAME Conference is passionate about giving back to the community. When FLAME began in 2020, the purpose was to provide space and support to all members of the leather, kink, and BDSM communities in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. To that end, in addition to education, FLAME made raising funds to benefit the members of our community a central part of our mission.

At our inaugural event, FLAME Conference attendees raised over $2,500 for The Leather Heart Foundation.

For 2021, FLAME once again raised funds for charity, with 100% of the proceeds from event registration fees being donated to the community selected charity of choice, The Carter/Johnson Library.

Thanks to our amazing attendees, sponsors, and staff, FLAME was able to gift $8,795.50 to the Library.
More about The Carter/Johnson Library:

The Carter/Johnson Library is a collective history of various communities who have chosen to live and love differently. As the only library of its kind, it creates an interactive relationship with the stories from the past and the present and links them to future generations.

The Library collection includes thousands of leather, fetish, S/m, kink and alternate sexuality books, magazines, posters, art, newspapers, ephemera and memorabilia dating back to the 1700’s.

The main library is located in Newburgh, Indiana, USA, and has annex locations you can visit in Boston, and Virginia, USA.

Final donation totals will be announced at the FLAME Conference Keynote Speaker on Sunday, February 21st, 2021 at 3:00pm Pacific / 6:00pm Eastern.

Thank you to all our attendees for supporting your community!
